Attribution of syndicated blog entries

Weird things are going on with blog feeds into Extra. For example, http://extra.wikitravel.org/node/864 shows as from "Jonboy" in the Recent changes list but not in the article itself, while http://extra.wikitravel.org/node/862 and http://extra.wikitravel.org/node/873 are completely anonymous.

Problem with cron

It's actually a problem with Drupal cron -- it runs everything as anonymous and this is overwriting the feed author in feed items. Thus the inconsistency. It's a known problem in Drupal and I'm expecting a patch soon. Until then, I've just been fixing the attribution by hand as soon as I see it.

Thanks

Rolling out a fix

today... let me know if it breaks anything new...

Afraid so

Jonboy's and the Travel News feed items seem to have been reimported, with comments posted to them lost. Eg. this one used to have a comment from me:

http://extra.wikitravel.org/node/934

Bug or feature?

Errr, bug...

I'll try and recover the lots comments. Still waiting for cron to do it's magic and confirm that we're getting author names now...
