There should be ways to group / tag entries as belonging to a particular trip and/or place.

This would let users see all the blogs about a place or all of a user's entries about a specific trip....

+1

I was just about to make this feature request.

Global, local tags

I realise the tagging feature is already there, but there should be global and local level tags with a way to clearly distinguish between them. I mean, "Mangalore" should be a global tag, while "Ravi's road trip from Bombay to Mangalore" should be local. Ravikiran

Is that needed?

It should be enough to just be able to use usernames as tags, so eg "jani+india" should pull up all my India stories.

Our plan...

Jani's on the right track. We're aiming for a "multifaceted folksonomy" Users will be able to get to content at the intersection of different navigational points of entry:

For example: Give me things 'tagged' with: "Jani" as author "India" as pace (ie geotag) "music" as topic (ie free tag) and a timestamp of this week/month/year

From there you could navigate to everything by Jani, everything by Jani tagged with India, everything by Jani tagged with music and so on and so forth...

We're hammering out the UI atm and will need feedback soon!

oh, and, of course, users will also be able to do targeted searches as well as browse to content.
