I think the boxes are still a little too strong

I don't really mind the round corners at all anymore, now that they are properly anti-aliased, but it still seems to me that the boxes overwhelm and take away from both the logo and the content... especially the content.
However, I *love* the grey-white buttons up top. If you could redo the boxes in that scheme I think you'd have a winner. -- mark

Redesign
We're actually looking to move away from the three-col standard into something more centered in the next couple of weeks, which will involve less boxes all around.
I think we've mentioned that we're trying to have a common look&feel with the current World66 color scheme, but I think it would be great to start pulling in some other colors too, but keep the red as an accent.
Good idea to try what works with the buttons on the boxes...
Thanks for the input as always, Admin Maj

... common look & feel with the current World66 color scheme
Well, have a look at http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html Set HEX input to colour #CC0000, with is the basic scheme colour for both World66 and Crossroads. I must say that I'm not very impressed by this 'artist' colour palette suggestions.
I think IB should consider a general brush up for three sites concerned. World66's look and feel is increasingly becoming outdated and the same applies for Wikitravel imho.
So, my suggestion would be: don't stick too much to this #CC0000 red, ask IB to spend some money to modernise/harmonise/redevelop a common colour scheme for World66, Crossroads and Wikitravel. The three of them should be recognisable as part of the same "family"
