What makes Today's content "Popular"?

Recently, I entered my blog post [Firenze<>Florence] in view mode only, just to check a spelling.... Guess? Back on the home page, I found the Firenze<>Florence thing in the [Popular content, Today's:] box and I couldn't remove it from there :-( I wonder now which criteria have been laid down for items to show up in the Popular content box? In my opinion, pages opened in view mode only once (a day) should not have Popular content status... I'm not sure... of course, frequency counts _are_ useful, but shouldn't/couldn't there be a more cumulative approach to display only _real_ toppers?

Stats module
I just noticed a patch has been released for the statistics module that the 'popular' block uses. I dont think it's working correctly atm (sounds like it's showing recent edits instead).
I'll update the module and test it out.
Thanks for pointing this out.

Fixed...
This has been fixed. The block now shows the top 3 most recently viewed ever items. You'll be happy to know that it's one of your posts, Reen, that is the current top runner.
Note that we've only had the stats module running for the last week or so. The counts are only from then.
