Images here vs. shared

I have a bunch of images that I'd like to "contribute to the project"... i.e. I want people to use them any which way they want, use them in Wikitravel articles if they want, or in Extra forums or blog posts, or just gawk at them on Extra. I presume that extra and shared will integrate some time soon, but which will we use as our primary store of images? I am guessing shared, but is that correct?

It kinda depends on the content: if they're 'personal photos'-- ones with you and your friends & family, put them here. If they're general images of a destination, put them on Shared.
I'm working on linking the destination pages to Shared categories as a first step in this... We have a feature speced out to allow users to search shared and extra for photos to use in their blog posts, but it's a bit down the road...
