Cool interactive maps & copying and pasting

For the eventual W66-like maps that will be available on Crossroads I think it would be cool if you come to a user's userpage and see a "where I've been map" that you be able to click on a certain destination the user has been to and up pops every post the user has posted on that destination.
I'd also like a button for copying and pasting or cutting and pasting text. "Ctrl + v" isn't too hard of a work around, but for the huddled masses that can hardly remember the ultimate keyboard shortcut - Control-Alt-Delete - a friendly button that looks nice, and makes you feel smart would be nice.

Good ones...
That type of mapping feature is just what we're thinking about: imagine mousing over points on a map to see thumbnails of images from those locations... same with other content.
As for a cut&paste button for the WYSIWYG editor, that one's easy. We just didn't want to overwhelm users with too many buttons, but I can enable any other ones you think are useful.

Yes!
I think that the World66 "where I've been" maps are really great, but I think there are some more things we can do to take the to the next level. Linking text written by the traveler about that place is one thing; also photos and/or videos. I also think adding dots for cities (towns, villages, parks, etc.), dates and date ranges, and arrows and lines to show directions of travel would be cool too. Organizing maps into separate trips (my trip to Southeast Asia, my trip to New Orleans) would avoid too much noise in the viewing.

Cut&Paste
Cut&Paste buttons have been enabled for blog entries and forum posts.
Let me know if there's any other WYSIWYG tools that you'd find useful (I'm working on getting spell check working atm, but that's mostely for me).

Praises and spelling
I was recently thinking about the various services similar to Crossroads and I think that Crossroads has a great chance to be a threat to other similar services in terms of profitability for IB. The biggest difference between Crossroads and other services is that Crossroads is being (will always) developed with user input, rather than being developed by businesses with no idea of what the user needs or wants. Crossroads has the great potential to become a leader in this genre because this is a service being developed by the traveller and I want to give everyone props for what you're doing here.
Anyhow, I really like Evan's ideas for the maps and the idea for also getting a gallery of images for a particular destination. The idea of creating a map for a particular itinerary along a specific route seems interesting too. It would be cool to create an itinerary for towns and sites along U.S. Route 50, as an example.
Maj, I believe "mostely" is spelled "mostly", but we don't have the spell-checker yet so I can't confirm this. :)
