Misery and love

It sounds like you really spent too much of your time in Gurgaon. The very day I left that place of extremes things started to look better. Yes, there's a lot of misery in India, but there's also so much to love.

While cycling down the Konkan coast in Maharastra towards Goa I really started liking India. The Rs 500 hamburger meals were missing there, but so was extreme poverty. Life in general was more relaxed and - I'd say also more happy - than in northern India, even in cities (with the exception of Mumbai). I haven't been to the poorest areas like Bihar, it might be a quite different story there.

I'm now approaching the end of my 3.5 month stay in India. I've seen so much but at the same time so little. I will come back.
