Hmm, for some reason I can't seem to edit my entry anymore? Anyway, I (and other Get-Together 2007 attendees) can now add gold leaf to the list, as the Japanese in Kanazawa like to pound it flat and place it atop rice cakes. And mofongo, the cooked-mashed-fried-remashed-refried plantain-mass of Puerto Rico also deserves an honorary mention.
