In fact, at 7am, IAD was very calm, and my GRU flight apparently was the only one arriving at that moment. The immigration line was well organized and took 10 or 15 minutes max. The interview was pretty quick and the ensuing security checks didn´t take long either. After that I took the shuttle to a different concourse, all pretty straightforward, and was happy I was spared of a longer wait.
