Bloody hell!

Alright, so I need to fume and I've decided this will be my place to do so. I went to a house warming party last night at a few friends' apartment.  We stuck around for about three hours before everyone decided to move onto a club.  I was fearing that club we were going to was Park (see the link below).

A friend from school called another American friend of ours and asked if he wanted to come with us, to which he agreed.  The group of us (probably numbering somewhere around 20) went to the Metro station and headed off to the subway stop the club was located at.  The club was called Opium.  Anyhow, a really good-looking woman, a Brit, and I stayed behind at the subway station waiting for our American friend, who somehow managed to get lost on the subway.  I can't stress how idiotic this is, because there's only one damn route (two directions)!

Anyhow, we waited something like an hour before the bloke we were waiting on decided to give us a ring and tell us he did the most moronic thing and misconstrued the directions of the subway system.  Eventually, we decided that we weren't going to wait for him anymore and headed to the club.

The three of us got into the club free-of-charge because of a past allegation of racism that resulted in a freind of a friend having his head cracked open by the bouncers.  The manager recognized the woman we were with and realized it was her friend who had been beaten up by bouncers for being too Chinese.  After about 15 minutes, we were told that we were moving onto yet another club. I remained sober, because, as stated above, I was originally afraid of going to the club "Park", which might result in some friends being harassed. Thus, I remained sober in case I needed to remove someone from a girlfriend (platonic kind). In any case, it was a little too late to indulge in a hedonistic drinking binge so I didn't bother getting drunk like everyone else, despite not going to Park.

Well, the second club wasn't bad.  I was hanging around two women and talking to them about random topics. Eventually, one got completely wasted and I ended up needing to take her home.  Typically, when someone is in a sober state, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to her place.  However, we took a cab most of the way, then she tried to walk to her place.  From where we left the taxi it should have taken us two minutes to get to her place, but since I didn't know where she lived the two minutes turned into a two hour fiasco.

I tried calling the Brit we were hanging out with earlier because I was hoping he might be able to give me directions since he'd been to her apartment before, but he was out of it too, so I was left up to the mercy of God.  She wanted to talk to the Brit so she tried to grab my phone, but poked me in the eye instead.  When she did that,  I covered me eye because it became sensitive and she took my phone trying to call people.  I thought she put my phone in her purse, but apparently she threw it away.

To continue the drama, I finally got her home, but she told me the wrong floor, so we took the elevator up to floor three, rather than floor two. She kept knocking on door number 81, though her apartment was number 77.  I knew which apartment she was in because I watched her call a roommate from the security pad. I ran downstairs and had her roommate help me get her downstairs.  We spent another hour convincing her to go to bed.

I'm not so much upset about the inconvenience of losing sleep, but I'm a tad pissed off that I can't find my $200+ phone.  I had about an hour or two of sleep before I woke up again and set off retracing our steps, hoping to find my cell. On the upside, the phone company replaced my SIM card for free, unfortunately, I still need a phone and I've lost a bunch of numbers.
