The largest city in the state of Illinois, the largest in the Midwest. Chicago are located near the ocean so this is best tourist spot in united state. More historical places are for looking. This is my second time journey in Chicago and I know very well in his location and Chicago city also. Market of Chicago is also famous and more located casino and more are located in deep building crowd. Other hand his hotels are very luxuries and famous and you don’t forget these hotels. All luxury facilities they give. So they had known as cheap hotels in Chicago.

Hello, how's your day?

I've spent almost a week in Chicago in late April, and was surprised to find out how friendly and polite locals can be. Upon entering a shop, I was invariably greeted with a happy-sounding "Hello, how's your day?" or something similar.

I have travelled to other English-speaking destinations before, but this was the first time I ever came accross such behaviour. I guess that may be a Midwestern trait and for a tourist it felt quite welcoming, even though I know they are not really interested in the reply.

Like many people who grow up in downstate Illinois, as I did, I have a deep-seated, visceral dislike for Chicago and everything associated therewith. (Sorry, Marc and Peter; nothing personal.) Time, maturity, and an appreciation for some of the city's definite pluses have mellowed this dislike somewhat, but haven't eliminated it, and it was therefore with definite misgivings that we included a stop there for baseball watching, even though it had to be done; the city does have two major-league teams, after all.

We got back to Montreal yesterday morning just after midnight. Maj got us upgrades on United to business class, which was really a life-saver. There's a direct flight from San Francisco to Montreal, but it's 5 hours one way and 6 hours on another. This time traveling to California, we decided to split up the flight, stopping in Chicago about halfway between.
